About Lekka Vibes Radio

Our Story

Lekka Vibes Radio was created to not only celebrate South African music and culture but also to blend the best sounds from around the world. Our passion is connecting listeners through rhythm, language, and energy. We are more than a radio station — we’re a community that promotes talent, creativity, and positivity across every beat. We offer multiple music genres in multiple languages from multiple countries around the world.
In addition to music and entertainment, Lekka Vibes Radio was established as an informative platform to help listeners better understand everyday insurance matters. Partly sponsored by DAS Financial Consultants, the station features short interviews with insurance professionals, informative discussions, and podcasts that explore common insurance questions, real-life scenarios, and practical guidance — all presented in a clear and accessible way.
Community upliftment and giving back are core values of Lekka Vibes Radio. Founder Dominic Mongis was an active member of the Rotary International Foundation for many years and, while he has since stepped back due to time constraints, he remains actively involved with Rotary initiatives. This commitment extends to supporting broader humanitarian causes, including the fight against polio, cancer, and other serious diseases.
We believe that everyone has a role to play in giving back to their community, and Lekka Vibes Radio aims to be a platform that not only entertains, but also informs, uplifts, and contributes positively to society.

They give their time and talent not for remuneration, but because they believe in what Lekka Vibes Radio represents. While we fully value and support fair compensation, the station continues to grow through the dedication, care, and commitment of a team that gives from the heart.
